RAC, SW, and EBCI.....need info.

I still have the outstanding question of how some folks are getting their BP's delivered to their room on the door the morning that they leave. How does the RAC Check-in even know that you want to use their services until you actually go to the desk to check-in and get your boarding passes?

RAC is not a pre-registered thing is it?

The consensus is RAC assumes SW passengers who have made a return DME reservation are likely to be interested in using RAC to check their bags. Makes some sense, SW lets you check 2 bags for free and RAC is a free service.

Ahhhhhh...good point. We won't be using DME so I definetly won't be hoping/expecting for our BP's to be at the door the morning we leave.

You don't have to use DME in order to use RAC. They are very different entities.

Frankly, I just don't see the huge deal with them leaving that on your door. It is only going to save you some time 'if' there is a long line at RAC. I usually head down to RAC early in the morning to hand over my bags and get my bp. I have never had to wait more then 5 mins in a line...that one time was at about 8:30am.

Yes I understood they are different and we don't have to use DME to use RAC - I just didn't understand how some folks were getting their BP's placed on the door vs. checking in.
