If we book 2 one way flights instead of round trip will we have any problems using resort airline checkin for our return flight? In this instance it would be to fly United Down, with in flight TVs and their coach plus seating (or whatever they call it), but SW home because the only direct flight on United home leaves earlier than we want to return. I wouldn't have even thought to ask, but a year or so ago we were not able to check our bags at the Poly because our round trip flight was a SW/air tran combo and even though it was considered round trip by SW the merger had not been completed and for some reason that eliminated the resort luggage check in. My husband, the worrier, was not pleased to find that out the day prior to departure that we had to deal with baggs at the airport and if that woud be the case with 2 one way tickets and different airlines he won't do it.

I don't think it was a one way issue but an issue between merging SW and AirTran systems. AirTran is gone so that shouldn't be an issue.

I only fly on Southwest and always book one way tickets over round trip as its easier to make adjustments if prices go down. I've never had an issue checking bags.
