...but it could not survive the water.

Hey everyone,
Jack here and I was just saying that my ipod nano got water damage. I called apple today and they told me that they would not cover water damage because water damage voids the warenty. (I know I'm spelling that wrong.) So what the guy told me was that if I plunk down 90 $ (30 $ for shipping) they will send it to their refurb. depatment and I will get credit toward another apple product. So can some one tell me which ipod I should get. I need a 16 or a 32 gig. because I'm squezing the podcasts on to my ipod.

A co-worker told me she dropped her ipod in a puddle, she took it in the house and buried it in a bowl of RICE...somehow the rice draws out the water I guess. She claims it was good as new and working fine the next day. I have no idea if it's true, but she said she heard it somewhere and it worked for her.

I have heard that about the rice too, but I think you have to do it pretty quickly after it getting wet.

My Ipod is slowly dying and I am not sure what to do. It is almost 6 years old :sad2: :scared1: and now only works when it is on the docking station. Though that is about the only time I need it anymore it is still sad. I have an iphone now so I use that when I am on the go, but still have an attachment to my original ipod.

Thanks guys but my ipod has been dead for about a week know. But can you tell me which ipod I should get know.

It worked for me. We had one go through the washing machine and it still works fine.

I have an ipod touch and really like it. The best thing is being able to download podcasts using wi-fi.

I was listening to ipod while brushing teeth. It end up falling into the (clean) toilet. Fished it out - worked just fine!
I was a littel surprised... and very happy!
