I am literally booked in 3 different hotels and I cannot decide which one is the best for me. I have reservations (traveling solo) at the Grand Legacy, Red Lion and Anaheim Majestic Garden. I was all set for the GrandLlegacy and feeling confident about my decision until I went on trip advisor and yelp. I booked 3rd party using a coupon because it was cheaper and apparently Grand Legacy gives those people who book 3rd party a lot of trouble, lost reservations, don't grant what people pay for and won't allow late check out. The list goes on and on. So I decided to look at a few more. I want something close to the gate walking distance wise. I am still booked at Grand Legacy but seriously second guessing my decision based on what I read. Can you offer advice? All I want is a clean, nice place to stay, with somewhat of an updated feel that is in walking distance.... Please help me decide so I can move on from this lol

I stayed at Grand Legacy in April and had no issues at all and I booked through a third party. They checked my luggage for me on my last day and were very courteous my whole stay. They may be done with most of the construction now, but it didn't bother me at all when I was there. I was in the room closest to Harbor and did not hear any noise. Breakfast was little more than cereal and toast, some fruit. I would go back there again, pretty close to parks.

Like you i had booked grand legacy and then got cold feet after reading reviews. We ended up staying there anyways and I'm really glad we did. Service was great, rooms were clean and the walk was short. I would stay there again. I think the problem is that their prices fluctuate so much; some people get great deals while others can pay over $200 for the same room. We got a great deal, so i feel like the value was there with what we recieved. However, if i had paid over $200 my expectations would be different, and I would probably have been a wee bit disappointed. Out of your three options, hands down i would pick grand legacy. The proximity is the best, and the end of the day you will appreciate the shorter walk.

I also have 3 reservations including one at the Grand Legacy, the Tropicana and the Best Western Plus.

I think that we are going to stay at the Grand Legacy in spite of the poor reviews. I originally booked through a third party but switched on Tuesday to a direct booking with them. I cost the same as the third party and they offered free parking. It looks like it will be nice place to stay and I think construction will be finished before we are there in September. The problem with online reviews are that people who are unhappy are IMO more likely to leave a review. The pool is nicer than my other 2 bookings and the rooftop bar sound like it will be nice. It is $200 more than the Tropicana but it includes a breakfast and parking.

I am happy to read others have here have had a good stay.

I cancel the Majestic Garden! I have a friend that stayed there a couple months ago. They had a HORRIBLE trip. They actually left the hotel mid stay and moved to a different one. They were put in an old room that had not been updated, had plumbing issues, and all around bad customer service.

The Red Lion is a little further then I'd be interested in walking after a long day in the park.

We stayed at the Red Lion on a last minute trip passing through Anaheim (not a Disney trip...it was hard being in the area and not able to go!!! ) this past January and it was very very eh. Definitely would NOT recommend it. Not as clean as I would have liked and the walls were SO VERY THIN. Plus it had a very old smell to it and the onsite restaurant was nasty and overpriced. We ended up basically dumping the food and heading to IHOP next door which was better and cheaper. I don't know anything about the other two...

I've been staying at Ramada /Grand legacy at the park since last year. Even during much construction back then we found the property well maintained and taken care of regardless. We come back due to the good rates , service and proximity to parks.

Last December I got VERY sick and spent almost 2 days in the room and had to rush back one day and the proximity was so great. I even thought I lost my Elsa blanket hours after we checked out and housekeeping had it even though it was wrapped in sheets!

Breakfast is in the pool area and consistently refreshed from start to finish. You need only ask if anything is needed. The breakfast is assorted donuts , hard boiled eggs , bananas, bagels ,toast, yesterday biscuits and gravy, juices, coffee, cereals, milk. It's a great start to the day and easy for grab and go too.

Their rooftop bar just opened too so hoping to check out the fireworks view next trip.

It does have outdoor hallways but rooms seem to be decently insulated as you can't hear every conversation but may hear a car being unlocked or people walking outside , the usual. I've been in top floors and bottom and both were peaceful on sold out days.

This past Friday afternoon around 4pm we decided to go back to DL and their website showed no rooms but something told me to call. They gave us an amazing deal of about $108/night for 3 nights for a 2 double bed room on MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, yes please !! We arrived around 2am from the Bay Area and we found our room clean , quiet and comftorable. Every room has a microwave and fridge too.

The walk is maybe 10 minutes or so from esplanade to the rooms( depending on room location possibly slightly longer or less).

I have booked Grand Legacy via orbitz/hotel tonight and direct with zero issues. It's personally our go to choice and likely will be for the foreseeable future.

Thanks everyone. I kept Grand Legacy and now have Tropicana on the list. I am going to wait a while before canceling one of them. I have until the end of July. I want a few more reviews on them before i make a final decision. You've all been so awesome and helpful!
