My husband I and are going on a trip and wanted to make a quilt with autographs that we get. This will be a gift so someone, I'm not a quilter. What size squares should I have them sign on to be safe where I can cut them down. Also what material is good, I want to use white for the signatures. I don't want it to be a thin material.

I happened to notice after I clicked on your thread that this thread came up as a suggested thread. I didn't throughly read it, but maybe it could be helpful to you. I don't really do any sewing, so I cannot really help.

Actually, I just had a thought, since you're not a quilter, what about getting a blanket through shutterfly, or one of the other photo sites. I know they do pillows, because I made pillow from a photo. I'm pretty sure one of those companies must have blankets. All you'd need to do is have the characters sign on white paper, with a good black sharpie, and when you get home, scan the photos. Then you can put the signatures and even some photos in a collage and use that photo to make the blanket. (Or, my last trip, I saw someone with an iPad and they had the characters sign right on the iPad, therefore eliminating the need to scan the photos). It would be way easier than making a quilt.
