My sister and I want to go to WWoHP when we're in Orlando for the Expedition Everest Challenge, but my sister's boss may want her to participate in a conference call at noon that day. Are there any quiet areas that she could go to for the call? Would any of the hotels have a business center she could use? How close are the hotels?

Thanks, in advance, for any help you can give us!

ETA - The boss is taking the call for my sister, so we're just going to have fun! Thanks, everyone, for all of the excellent suggestions!

None inside of the parks. The areas that appear to be quiet still have loud music playing. I've tried to find a place to make a phone call before and it is very difficult. The path between Citywalk and Royal Pacific Resort may be your best bet for a quiet spot.

Thank you! I'll let her know that it's possible. Having music playing may not be such a problem. If my boss wanted to call me when I was on vacation (and she has when I was at Disneyland), it's her problem if my end sounds noisy!

I was confused about who was supposed to be on the other end of the call. Her boss has decided to take the call for her, so we're going to WWoHP without interruption!:goodvibes

How about the alley in old NY in US

Along with that, there is a park along side the lagoon w/benches(can't remember what it is called)and just in front of the Simpson there is a quiet area lagoon front also. Also the seats around the old Cafe'Labamba. No music blarring in the background

Now at IOA I only found 3 areas.First two are kinda hidding. When you walk into IOA you will have to make a right that will take ya to Seuss Landing or left towards the Hulk,go straight and there is a nice quiet area facing the IOA lagoon.no music.Second is just across the street from Spidy, there is music. Now the best one is in back of the JRP Discovery Center. Its a very large area that few people go.

The only reason i know all this is from I have too get away from the crowds and noises sometimes.I'm a country boy but love USF!!!
:thumbsup2

Thanks, everybody! As it turns out, my sister has been excused from the call, but it's good to know where quiet can be found in the parks!

Haha I had this same problem when we went to Stone Mountain, USF, and WDW this past year. My bosses wanted to call me when I told them SEVERAL months in advance that I would be gone so guess what they had to listen to? Me shouting through the phone and saying "What?! WHAT did you say?!" :rotfl: :lmao:

There are several good "quiet" spots in IOA:

Port of Entry: go straight ahead, towards the lagoon. It's a very picturesque area that is ignored by most. The most noise is from the Hulk's screamers

Marvel: Spot 1-- veer to the right and go on the lagoon side. This puts you "behind" the Alterniverse store and is a HUGE area. It used to be the best fireworks viewing area. Now it's just a quiet area, sans Hulk screamers.

Spot 2--directly across from the restrooms, next to the ice cream stand. It's a small area with stone benches, but is quiet.

Toon Lagoon: Spot 1--on the left, by the amphitheater. If there is not a show going on, the whole area is very quiet. The only noise is Ripsaw screamers and games attendants.

Spot 2--along the far right side, where the lagoon is. The best entrance for this is near Popeye's ship. There is a long path with all sorts of cool themed props. You'll hear screamers from Popeye and Hulk at most.

Jurassic Park: just the huge area on the lagoon side of the Discovery Center. It's pretty quiet overall

Lost Continent: along the lagoon side, near Mythos. This area is pretty quiet and easy to miss.

Seuss Landing: along the lagoon, specifically Sneetch Beach. That area is behind Green Eggs & Ham

At USF there are some quiet spots. Some are in smoking sections, so take that as you will...

In front of the concert stage, near Rockit. As long as no concerts are planned, this is a very popular "rest" area. People are often seen taking naps on the "grass". Some screams from Rockit riders will be heard.

The smoking section across from Twister. It's a quiet area overall.

The alleyways in New York. Many people ignore these areas, so it's a great quiet spot.

Near the restrooms across from Louie's (Mummy side). Also a smoking area, but very quiet overall.

Along the lagoon side of Lombard's Landing and Richter's. Very quiet spot.

Across from The Simpsons ride entrance, there is a sitting area that is also quiet.

Anywhere along the lagoon, especially in the grassy walking paths running on the Kidzone/Hollywood/Simpsons side.

The grassy "park" area near Mel's. May also be a smoking area.

The Gardens of Allah area between Kidzone and Horror Makeup Show. It's a nice shortcut and virtually unused. Super quiet area.

I agree with the people who suggested the area behind Jurassic Park Discovery Center, just in front of the lagoon. I think that is my favourite place in the whole park to have a little relaxing drink or simply to rest my legs.

Be warned of two things, however: 1) you can get sunburnt easy there, as there is no cover in much of the area, and 2) although there is no music, there remains many sound effects of creatures and birds in the Costa Rican jungle, so expect your boss to hear crickets and parrots while you're talking to him. :lmao:
