quiet rooms @ OKW / SSR?

DW and i are headed south for a relaxing 2-week vaca in late JUN. we'll be staying in an SSR studio for the 1st week and a 1-BR @ OKW for the 2nd.

we'd prefer to stay in a quiet, peaceful area at each of these resorts - although a nice (quiet) view of DTD at SSR would be great!

any suggestions or advice?? and is it better to request location preferences ahead of time through MS or simply ask for them at check-in?

Almost all 1 bedrooms will be quiet at OKW as long as you get the top floor. If you get the 1st floor, you run the risk of being under those hardwood floors of a GV, and that can be a problem for noise.

It seems that SSR is a very quiet resort. I think any section you choose would be fine. I don't know what they use to soundproof the rooms but you can't hear any outside noise at all with the sliding glass door closed. If you want a DTD view, request Congress Park.

We stayed in the Springs section of SSR in Jan. and were amazed at how peaceful and quiet the resort was. We were on an upper floor, and did not hear anyone else in our building the whole week.

I LOVE the SouthPoint area of OKW...and I would suggest adding any requests before your trip.
