QUIET Restaurants in Disney that are family friendly

When are you going?
That can make a difference in crowds, which makes a difference in noise levels.
Are you looking for quick service (counter) or table service?

Dining at resort TS, non-buffet restaurants either RIGHT when they open or at the latest seating for a meal are when they are going to quietest, in general. For the restaurants in MK - again - unless dining at off hours - are all noisy, in my opinion. Sure, right at 11am when a QS place visit opens for lunch - it's going to be quieter than at peak between 12-1:30.

Also - time of year, other parks you plan to visit, if this is a child or adult we are talking about, boring or adventurous eater, where you are staying (on or off-site) - and whether or not you will have a car can influence suggestions I could give.

This is good advice. We will make reservations for the last seating of lunch (I believe 1:30) at the Wave (Contemporary) or right when they open for dinner (I believe 5:00). Both of those times are very quiet. Forget anywhere at Magic Kingdom!

BOG is a very poor choice unless you can find a seat in the Rose Gallery. The other 2 rooms are very noisy. You have some good suggestions on the same thread you posted on the other board.

BOG is a good choice ONLY if you are able to get seating in the Rose Gallery. The West Wing, definitely not.

But I agree with others that the quietest room at BOG is the Rose Gallery. DD has issues with noise and we have to completely avoid the West Wing. She likes the feel of the Ballroom and will tolerate the noise just so she can sit there, but the Rose Gallery is usually our best bet.

One of my favorites is the upstairs seating area at Columbia Harbor House. It is usually pretty quiet, especially when compared to the busier first floor.

Gasparilla Grill at the Grand is great for breakfast (cheap AND they have mickey waffles!) and usually very quiet both inside and outside. Even though it's open to the lobby Kona Cafe is usually pretty quiet around lunch time too. Another sneaky time that's less crowded in MK is during any of the fireworks or parade shows. If you want to see them, do so once then jump in for your meals the other days while everyone else is watching the show! (Works great with lines too )

How quiet are we asking for here? How does the member of the group do with normal restaurants? A better idea of what is being expected may also help people give more ideas.

No matter what, stay away from locations during prime dining hours.

depending on where you are staying your hotel room is a very quiet place to eat,( All on property have a table and chair) I like to eat lunch in the fastness area ( for the vier works) at the magic kingdom I do bring my own food but I think someone could go into starlight caffe ( I think that is what it is called and get the food and bring it out.

but I do agree that BOG would not be the place to eat

Family friendly and quiet rarely go together, especially at WDW. Try counter service and take the food outside? Pinocchio Haus has seating outside, as do some other QS restaurants. I agree that the upstairs, over the walkway section of Columbia House can be pretty quiet.

If they haven't opened the QS in Adventureland (down by Pirates) there are still tables in there, and it's usually empty.

At the MK there is an upstairs seating area at Columbia Harbor House near Haunted Mansion that is incredibly quiet, but I don't think they have an evevator. The food is very good too. It's my favorite for food and some peace.

LTT is way quieter for early lunch than BOG. (Even on the 1st floor you can find quiet - for Disney - areas. And its not at capacity when we've gone, at 11am, so we've always been able to ask for a table away from the main walking paths through the restaurant.)

The 1st week of April 2016 is immediately after Easter, so a busy time at the parks and certainly at BOG.

(LTT is TS, but doesn't' cost much more there than CS if you are paying OOP. The tip, yes, but the food prices at CS are pretty high. You can google for a couple of sites that have the prices.) HTH!

Just a thought--since you can't control the environment, would the person be willing to try some noise-reducing earplugs? I got some for a concert that reduce loud sounds but still enable you to hear what is going on. They have them in smaller sizes as well, if this is for a child. Guitar center has some examples:

The ones I got were clear, and very unobtrusive. May be helpful with the park in general, since there is a lot of noise (screaming, fireworks, ride noises) all over Disney. Hope you all have a magical trip!
