Quiet pool at POR?

I have to ask this silly question... What exactly IS a quiet pool?
We will be at POR in 25 days!!

It is a regular pool with no slides & fountains & not near the playground or pool bar. POR has their bigger themed pool, & then 5 quiet pools scattered throughout the resort which I myself loved. Not crowded at all & quiet. Have a great trip. We love POR!!!!!

it's just a regular pool in the section or the resort your staying in there's no bar,no slides,no hot tub just a pool and some chairs. so while all the kids are yelling and screaming at the main pool at old man island you can sit back at the quit pool and relax

Thanks...one more silly question. Are kids allowed in the quiet pools? I have 3 13, 11 and 7.

Of course they are. The themed pool just has a lot more action so it's noisier. You should visit both. Old Man Island is pretty neat. It's in the middle of the resort between where the rooms are & where the main lobby & dining & gift shop are. It's a beautiful resort-wish I was going too.

We tried to use one at POR last year but there was a family there with kids shrieking non-stop and we gave up. This last time we tried again but there were two adult males (with lots of kids between them), the kids were fantastic, playing and having a good time but bothering no one. However the men stationed themselves one at each end of the pool (lengthwise) and threw a football back and forth between them, thus cutting off the entire pool from anyone else using it other than to be jammed up against the wall. Unless you wanted to risk getting bonked in the hed by their football. I had to ask them to stop so I could get my mother to some stairs so she could get out of the pool. They had all stairs blocked and she's 80, she couldn't haul herself over the edge.

For some reason POR is the only place I've run into this kind of behaviour.

This is the quiet pool in Alligator Bayou... honestly, we spent more time in this pool than the main pool. hardly ever any other people there... very close to our room, and we did laundry right there, so we sat by the pool and waited. The main pools are fun and that is where all of the "action" is, but you can usually find all 5 of us at the quiet pool.
