Quiet Cove pool questions...

Headed on my first Disney Cruise in about a week, no kids, and plan on spending plenty of time at Quiet Cove. I know they have a "swim" up bar (in very shallow water), but does this imply that you can have drinks in the pool with you? I don't mean while you swim, per se, but if you're lounging in the pool, etc?? Anyone have any experience with this?

Also, any advice about best place to sit at quiet cove? Any secrets about Cove Cafe?

When we were there last month everyone in the pool had a drink! Haha! There are seats in the water at the bar. There are also benches along the water and a few seats in ankle deep water.

At Cove Cafe get a card. Every time you buy a coffee have it punched. Buy 5 get one free. Great place to get out of te sun for a few minutes.

The pool is not that big. Where you sit depends on who you are with and what is going on. Most of the time I just set on the edge of the shallow area on the side with the shade. Here is a picture of the pool.

Which ship?

Drinks are filled in plastic containers. You can travel throughout the adult pool, submerged or not, with beverage, at your own risk to your personal libation, and any decks with said containers. You can place said containers on the coping as needed at the adult pool.


The secret used to be all pastries at Cove Cafe are free, although self serve.
Currently I don't believe that is a secret anymore.

On the Wonder, I was in the pool while DH went to get me a drink and handed it to me in the pool, I didn't have it more than a minute before a server informed me drinks were not allowed in the pool. I have had drinks in the hot hub late at night before.

I am going on the Dream. I am looking at pictures of the Wonder quiet cove pool and it does not appear that there is a swim up bar like there is on the Dream. I wonder if that makes a difference about allowing drinks in the pool?
