Quiet around here

Is it just me or do these boards seem quieter these days. Granted, I did take a 7 month hiatus after our last trip but this board use to be bustling.

I've noticed the same thing. I've also been on hiatus since shortly after our last trip which was August.

I think it ebbs and flows. This is the lull between folks asking questions about summer trips and those that want to plan fall trips. Once DLR announces the MHP and HalloweenTime dates, I imagine the board will pick-up again.

Nope...still seems like the same number of people asking every day how to get from LAX to DL...

I honestly haven't noticed a big difference. (Actually there seem to be more WDW vets than ever making their first trips to DLR).

That said, the board is always a lot busier when a major new attraction opens. So look for a boom when Star Wars Land debuts.

I haven't been active, as I'm currently planning a trip for the family to WDW in Jan/17, so my focus has been on planning that trip and not DL. Now that I've decided to add a side trip to DL for my major solo overseas trip in 2018, I'll be more active. I find the boards ebb and flow, depending on who's currently planning trips.

I've mostly posted over on the WDW side of the boards and they always seem bustling compared to the DL board, so I thought it was just the normal amount of traffic right now. We're thinking of heading to DL this summer and I'm reading here each day to catch up on all the changes since our last trip, but it always seems pretty "quiet" over here, but not so quiet that I can't get good answers to my questions.

I'm betting it's a combination of lots of factors... Summer vacation peeps are either finishing up school/finals/etc., and/or they have already planned most of their activities (afterall, ADRs are now into August!)... But those of us going for Halloween aren't able to do ressies yet.

Then you have the people dealing with the weather... and spending their first weekends of the summer camping... and, just the fact that it's a weekend overall.

Yeah, I was on here all the time when I first started going in 2008, then I was on hiatus for years... came on once in awhile when I was helping friends plan their trips, but didn't come back until my solo trip last year, then this year's couple's trip. Now I'm checking every day again. It does seem quieter to me than it did several years back, regardless.

I can not wait for Halloween announcements! Not to wish away the Disney days but Yeasssssss! haha
