Quickie Tripie Report-6/6/10-6/12/10

We got home Saturday night and had a great time. We stayed at CBR for the first time. We have stayed at Pop for the past 3 years and we decided to try somewhere different this year.
Crowds were not bad at all exceot one night at EPCOT on 6/15 and MK on Friday 6/11.
We did early morning magic hours every day and were back home swimming by 1-1:30 each day.
We went to a different park each monring and night. Only went to AK one time and that was really enough. We did all the rides. The only thing we did not do was ride Everest.
It only rained Sunday afternoon while we were in a gift shop at EPCOT and wa nice the rest of the week with few clouds and low humidity. YEA!!! The weather was great and not so hot at all. We really had a greatime at night at the parks and it was even almost cool one night. We are from Texas so we are used to the hot weather!

Here are the good and the bad of the trip:

CBR- we liked this resort it was really beautiful. We loved the Port Royale pool. Slides were great for everyone. We were in Martinique bldg 21 1st first just like I requested. Not perfered but right next to perferred. I think we were actually closer than 1 bldg of perferred. Even though we liked it we will probably not stay there again. I did not like having to walk to pool and food court. It was more convienent at POP with food court and pool right by bus stop every morning and night. Resort is very spread out. Our quiet pool was very close but we liked the big pool of course more especially my son. We liked the beach areas but hardly no one was every there playing or lounging on them. The bus stops were also conveinent but there are SOOOOOO many of them. It seemed like it took forever just to get out of resort area. Depending on the way the driver went we were usually the 1st on or off so we always got seats so that was good. But we are used to hopping on bus and going to park. With that being said CBR is not for us. Beautiful... and glad we tried it but POP again next year for us. Food court was tasty and had normal CS food items. Gift shop was great.

We saw the new parade and the new fireworks. They were both very good. The parade seemed shorter to me than the old one. Fireworks were awesome! We almost walked on every ride at Mk each time we went and I think we went 5 times during the week.

Dining-We did QS dining plan and it was so much food. No flaming but...My son is only 9 but he ordered off the adult choices every time. He did not eat any kids meals the entire week and we were not questioned about it at all. Which he totally loved. The kids meals are simply not enough food for kids if you are over 6 it seems. We ate at Donald's Breakfastsaurus and Sci Fi also out of pocket which we all liked and they were worth the money. I can say it we had to wait for 30 min for characters to make it to us after we finished eating at Donalds' though.
QS-We will do it again next year. We ate at CBR 3 times nad mostly at the parks. Had bad expierence at Pecos Bills at MK. Got wrong orders 2 out of 3 and took FOREVER! So beware if you go there.
We loved Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang pucks. Ate there 2 times and pizza was great!
Snacks were plentiful and we used several for lots of frozen drinks.

Buses- We had to wait at MK the longest for our CBR buses it seemed. After fireworks one night the security gaurds had to call and see what happened since we waited over 45 minutes for 1 bus to come pick us up.

Photopass- very few and far between it seemed this trip. We did get 48 pics on ours though which is way lower then we usually do.

Characters- Best place to see them is at DHS in and around Animation Courtyard. Never longer than a 4-5 min wait and it you stand outside they keep bringing more out and switching them out. We got most of our autographs and pics there. Lotso was super cute!

We had a great time at each park and are thinking maybe about DVC if my husband can be talked into it.

We did not do waterparks this trip but went to Downtown Disney several times and shopped and ate. It was fun as usual!

Over all had a fabulous trip but we will stay someone else next time besides CBR. It is nice but just not for us and certainly not work more money than POP we felt for amenities. For the money POP is the greatest and most convenient for us! CBR was not worth extra $$$ we felt even if it is so pretty there.
