I'm new to swapping. I'm ready to mail out my swap projects for the Disney Surprise swap...hopefully in the morning. I joined 5 groups for this one. I understand about packaging each individuals item seperately...but then I'm suppossed to put them into a labeled gallon size ziploc. So will I end up mailing 5 gallon sized ziplocs with each swap inside. It would all fit in 1 gallon sized baggie. I'm thinking it's 5 because it helps the sorting go faster? So mail 5?

Thanks,
Traci

Yep, if you are in 5 groups, send in 5 gallon bags. It is for making sorting easier.

When you are doing something like 15-6 person groups, that is 1296 different little baggies to sort (6 people x 6 pieces x 15 groups). So just keeping that straight can be difficult. When someone has sent a bag that is too small to hold the pieces you get back (ex. you make squares which can all go in a quart size, but someone else made photo mats or borders which don't fit into your quart size), or if there isn't a bag for each group, then you have to make sure that that person's returned items don't get mixed up with someone else's. It adds a layer of complexity; which increases the odds that a mistake will happen and you won't get all the pieces back that you are supposed to. Which would make you and the hostess unhappy.
