Quick Xmas cookie recipe to share

Posted this on the cooking board, but not all of you stop by there...so am sharing them all on here with you in case you need something easy this weekend!

before the DIS goes down for the holidays...these are from Paula Deen..and I just made them..so easy,,and so good!


1 roll slice and bake sugar cookie dough sliced in 1/4" slices
14 ozs. thin mint cookies (good way to use those girl scout thin mints I always have in the freezer)
1 egg beaten
coarsely chopped nuts (optional)

preheat oven to 375
lightly grease cookie sheets

place 1 slice sugar cookie dough on sheet..top with a thin mint cookie..top with another slice of sugar cookie

Brush cookies with beaten egg and press in nuts if using

Bake 10 min

she said it only made 10 cookies..but I got 14 out of it..and they are pretty large cookies..and both of us sampled 1 each and said mmmmm...lol

I made these with the DNephews last NYE with fun-sized candy bars and crushed M&M's. They were a hit.

I saw this on her show, looked good! I wonder if it would work with Andies mints?

Also, my boss made her monster cookie receipe (I think that's what it's called, it's the one with oatmeal and peanut butter and chocolate chips) and said it was AWSOME!
