Quick wait list/holding question

I have a night booked that uses 12 points and have a wait list set for the same night somewhere else that would use 15 points, if I keep that wait list until 7 days out and it comes through, no points would go into holding since he new reservation uses more points, correct?

As long as you've set up the waitlist to replace the existing reservation, you're correct.
