We ate at TD last night...sorry no pics.
We used the DDP - 1 TS each

Appetizer:
We both had Shrimp cocktail...cute presentation in a accordian box but standard medium size shrimp (4 maybe) and a wasabi cocktail sauce that tasted just like regular cocktail sauce. It was good and the shrimp were cold.

Main course:
You could order any entree on the main menu or one of the three sushi samplers from the sushi menu.

I ordered #17 (can't remember the name) it was the tempura & sushi sampler. One salmon, one tuna, one shrimp and three cali rolls, with tempura veggies and shrimp, and seaweed salad. The sushi was much better than the tempura..the fish very fresh tasting and cold.

Ryan ordered the tempura shrimp and chicken...sort of looked like chicken tenders but puffier....hmmm, with seaweed salad and lots of tempura veggies. He ate it all....well except for the sweet potato tempura.

Dessert:
I had green tea pudding...as far as green tea flavored foods goes it was very good creamy and light with a sweet glaze.

Ryan had fruit tart that was a small (very small) puff pastry with cooked apple on top and a custard in the middle...not too good.

The room was nice..the service was very polite..but spotty, with lots of "so sorry for the delay". We never felt that we waited that much longer than any other Disney Restaurant just odd the way the drinks and food were brought out, for instance my green tea was brought out as one cup then at the end of the meal, a full tea pot was delivered.

It is a new restaurant so they are working out the kinks...

Would we eat there again..probably not....well maybe but we would only order sushi. The sushi was good, the tempura would have been better if it had been served hotter.

Hope this helps you with your planning.

Anita

Thanks for the review! How were the portions? It doesn't sound like you got much sushi.

Jenny,
We weren't hungry when we left....in fact this was one meal we didn't feel too full after and we ate most of the dessert!

I should have gone for the sushi sampler from the sushi menu, I think it was $23.95....at the time I thought all that sushi would be an overload...but I really could have done without the tempura.

Enjoy, Anita

Thanks for posting your review. I'll be sure to stick to the sushi! Do you have any idea what these items are? It's on the allears menu:

Shinjuku Gozen $27.50
Bento Box - assortment of tranditional foods and flavors $23.50

Dis,

The menu doesn't look like the one posted...its actually two different menus. A larger menu, from which we ordered....I had Ginza Gozen and Ryan had Shibuya.

There was also a smaller sushi menu...on the second page were 3 sushi items you could have as entree on the DDP...can't remember the other two but the most expensive of the three was the Sushi Sampler for $23.95.

Oh....according to Yukoru (sp) the Bento Box had no sushi.

Hope that helps.

So most of the sushi isn't available on the plan, or isn't an entree? Did those other two happen to include either the dynamite or volcano rolls?

Colleen,
Sorry don't remember...the sushi deluxe was was one of the three....the other two :confused3 .

Hopefully someone else knows?

Enjoy your trip

Thansk for the review Anita - sounds like this might be worth a try - once at least.
