Quick Target discount/gift card question!

No this isn't about the 5% off gift cards thing

Super quick- they have a promo if you buy $100 worth of diapers/wipes you get a $25 GC. Is the $100 before any discounts? I've got some cartwheel discounts and coupons. Do I have to make sure I'm paying $100 out of pocket or just $100 before promos?

Usually I do this when it's buy 3 get a gift card so it's super straightforward. I can't find anywhere if you can pay say $90 out of pocket because of discounts and still get the $25 GC? I don't want to buy more than I need.

I do this all the time. Let them scan all your products (which come to $100) and then the system will tell them to give you a gift card. Once it's activated, give them your coupons, cartwheel, etc. If it's a deal where you have to text & get the barcode for the gift card, just have them scan that before anything else. I've never had any trouble with it.

Thank you!! I looked at this right before I went in and did exactly that. I spent about $84 total on all the diapers/wipes after the discounts and still got the gift card.
