Hey all,

Due to a business trip I was able to sneak in a day to Hong Kong Disneyland today and thought you might be interested in hearing about the park

Overall, it is a cute park that is well put together, but is very small. Just not a ton of attractions - but what they do have are done very well - loved their version of Space Mountain and Mystic Manor may be the most well done Disney attraction I have ever been on. Food was good and affordable (as was the park itself ... the 1 day ticket was ~$65 USD). And they close the day with Pain the Night and then a quality Fireworks and projection show.

It was also pretty empty which was nice :)

Below are a few pictures - I of course had to wear my DIS shirt:

Happy to answer any other questions people have ... there is a forum here on Hong Kong Disney which helped in my planning but I know it doesn't get discussed that much.

Visiting the non-US Disney parks is definitely one of those bucket list items.

Thanks for your report! I've been curious about it but have thought about making the trip to HK when I am in Asia but have been hesitant about whether it is worth it. Good to know that you enjoyed yourself!

Thanks for posting this. Looking forward to seeing the park next year.

Awesome pics, thanx for sharing. Glad to hear your'e having a good time, safe travels!

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that most of the pictures that people take in Hong Kong Disneyland have rain and umbrellas in them. Just sayin

It's extremely rainy in Hong Kong (and this isn't even the rainy season) and it is also very hot and humid so people tend to prefer umbrellas. I think most of the ponchos are non-locals, but could be wrong. At least just around town everyone always has an umbrella with them

While we were on line to meet Mickey he had a break and he left and came back from his spot using an umbrella:

If you are already in Asia I definitely think it is worth a trip - very nice park, very clean, very good attractions, etc. We didn't see the hotels but I understand them to be quite nice too and they have good dim sum meals there. The rest of Hong Kong is nice too if you'd want to spend a few days here.

I hope Hong Kong eventually gets that second park that was in the works.
