Quick Service - Your Thoughts on Mobile Food Ordering through the WDW App

What are you thoughts on the Mobile Food Ordering process for Quick Service through the WDW App?

I visited WDW in early December. Cast members are stationed outside entrances to Quick Service food locations and are strongly encouraging guests place their food orders through the WDW My Disney Experience app.

Do you prefer ordering at the counter? Or do you prefer mobile ordering through the WDW My Disney Experience app?

Sometimes I really prefer to order directly at the quick service counter. This allows the opportunity to see pictures of the various food options and ask questions of the cast member cashier. On our December trip, the ordering areas insides of these quick service restaurants were mostly empty. I understand that the lack of staffing is a concern and the mobile ordering helps with staffing shortages.

The more we use it, the more we like it. But you are correct, sometimes you want to see something or ask a question or two. We have used it consistently at perhaps 5 or 6 places, so we're familiar with what they have and what we like. For those places, at least, we now prefer it - order ahead, have an approximate time it'll be ready, notify them when you're there, in/out and we're good to go. But if you're unfamiliar with the menu, or have special requests or dietary needs, it's probably less than ideal.

Love it.
Been using the feature since it debuted.
I like that I can customize some things.
And no more waiting in line to order.
You can order and then find a table without a tray of food and drinks with no lid and then go grab your food.
