Quick Service - wilderness lodge Roaring Forks vs Riveria Primo Piatto

Hi all,

I’m debating staying between Riveria or our usual favorite, Boulder Ridge Villas at Wildetness Lodge.

My kids are picky , picky eaters and live on the pizza at Roaring Forks quick service when we stay.

I just noticed that pizza no longer seems to be on the menu in Roaring Forks. Has anyone been there recently and know if they still offer pizza there? That would be a problem for he as that’s my kids usual lunch or dinner there.

I saw that Riveria has pizza on the menu at the Primo Piatto quick service. Just wanted to check in and ask on the board if they have it.

And overall which Resort has the better quick service? Was curious what people preferred.

I think Primo Piatto has some of the best QS on-property. That being said, I do like that BRV/CCV/WL has two QS options. From RIV, however, you could utilize the Skyliner to eat at any of the EP resort QS, CBR (you could walk there, though I don't know how long it would take), Pop and AoA. Not entirely convenient, but it does open up some options for you in the RIV area.

We eat at Primo Piatto a few times every trip!!! I think last trip my son got Pizza, so I still think it is on there.

We were there over thanksgiving and I think my son liked the pizza. They also have the pool bar, which has an amazing margarita and wings (which were supposed to be for my son but I forgot to leave off the sauce so they were mine). We all loved Riviera, but I can say the kids thought the Wilderness Lodge pool was “super cool” looking compared to riviera.

Our kids had the Riviera pizza on our last trip and they loved it. They even made a really good gluten free one for DH. The kids love the skyliner so we made an adventure out of it for them.

We really liked Primo Piatto on our first visit to the Riviera last summer (one night stay). We’re staying there on our upcoming trip and plan to eat there again. We did mobile ordering and it worked well. We ordered the Margherita pizza, the Romano fries (very salty, but kind of addictive ) and tiramisu. I’d like to try it for breakfast and perhaps try other options for lunch or dinner.

We also stayed at BRV last summer (split stay w/ Riviera). We enjoy Roaring Fork too. I don’t remember what I had (it was lunch and we ate outside - I remember that much), but I do enjoy their grilled cheese sandwich, so it may have been either that or the turkey sandwich.

Yes, you can walk to the QS at CBR. It is about three blocks perhaps, not bad at all though there is no shade.

RIV had pizza when we were there last month. You can also take the skyliner over to the Boardwalk and get pizza at the pizza window there.
I love Primo Piatta! It is one of my favorite QS now. I like that they have some different options to choose from, but still have some of the basics.
