Let me start by saying, I'm not trying to one up Disney....

I read somewhere that at the end of the trip when the kids are sick of the quick service children's menu items that if you order an adult entree they take off one QS credit. That quick service credits are not separated by adults and children except for costs. I was thinking if the kids get sick of disneys kids meals, maybe ordering one adult entree for the two to share. I know I would be sick of pbj and pizza after a week.

Unless a location does not offer a kids menu then you are honor bound to order only children's meals with children's quick service credits. In addition, you will only be able to order as many adult meals at one time as there are adults listed on your KTTW card.

Disney requires you to order a kid's meal for your child where kid's meals are available. That is the official stance and the one we support on the boards. Discussions on using kid's credits for adult meals are usually closed, just so you know.

I was about to post about DDP since I don't usually think its cost effective for me (not free or discounted for my stay) your comment about PB&j and pizza answered my ?.

Your kids don't have to eat pbj and pizza all week. There are a lot of options for the kiddos, but you do have to plan for them. Go to allearsnet.com and look through the menus to see where you need to eat so the kids have better choices. It will take some time to do the research, but it will be worth it.

Tricia put together a very informative sticky with info on getting the most out of the kids meals. I referred to it when my DD was younger and she never ate a PB&J or nuggets

Knowledge is power :) If you know what you can get and where to go to get it, you will find it is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be :thumbsup2

yea it is NOT just pbj and pizza all week. go to the dining tab, click on menus and you will see all the diff kids meal options. we go 8 times a year and my kids eat very well

I will be there at Christmas and don't want to spend my time waiting in CS lines.

I am closing this thread now, as it is specifically asking about using the children's credits to buy adult meals.

According to Disney's written rules you can do this only where the restaurant has no children's menu. That goes for CS too.
