Quick service plan - How does dessert work?

Hi everyone,

We have always paid OOP in the past, but this year I plan on getting the quick service dining plan. Unless I am mistaken, we're able to get dessert with every meal. I know I have seen people at Pop Century get a mark on their receipt so they can first eat their food and then go get ice cream, so that they don't have to get their ice cream at the same time and let it melt while they're eating their food.

So, my question is - Say we're at Animal Kingdom and eat at Flame Tree Barbecue at 5:00 PM. Can I get a mark on my receipt that I can use at Pop Century to get an ice cream sundae at say, 10:30 PM, or is this just wishful thinking?

No, sorry. Wishful thinking.

You get the stamp at Pop if you want to eat Icecream as your dessert, but it's supposed to be redeemed within an hour of your receipt. A quick service meal at a counter service location must include your entree, drink and dessert in one transaction, although you can also substitute sides for your dessert or drinks as well.

Not SIDES, but anything with the SNACK logo next to it can be substituted for the dessert/drink portion of the plan.

Right. So sides or soups or salads with the snack logo can be substituted.

OP - you mentioned Flame Tree in your original post. The onion rings and fries are great sides that you can substitute if you're not interested in a drink/dessert.

At Flametree we substitute the onion rings for a dessert and it feeds the 4 of us for a nice appetizer.......although as big as the meals are we really don't need it. I prefer the snack over the dessert most times. French onion soup at BOG is a good call also instead of dessert.
