...like the popcorn, icecream and such?? I have been watching video clips on the college program on You Tube and it has cast members talking about various things. One girl said she was a "Outdoor Food" or "Outside Food" CM and she mentioned she did "the nut carts too". My daughter has a peanut allergy and so we are wondering if that is included in the quick service category? Thanks!!!

I believe it does. However, I'm sure disney will make sure your DD isn't put anywhere where she could have an allergic reaction.

Did she mention she has a peanut allergy? Thats weird that they would put her in food at all... thats something to call recruiting about

I was accepted as QSF this summer and worked ODF in MK. ODF is the popcorn, ice cream, and nut carts (in mk it's almonds, but some parks are different). However, QSF also includes hotel food courts, non-reservation park dining, and Stands (hot dogs, soft serve ice cream, pretzels, turkey legs ect...)

Everything I worked with I was given a booklet that listed what was in the food I was handling. I would make sure though that she had told them about her allergy ahead of time.

Just let recruiting know. I do know that I put down QSF on my role checklist for the CP and in my interview I just let them know that I have a severe peanut allergy and they took me off the QSF list. They were really cool about it and they said to me that we want your health and safety as the top priority so we won't put you in a role that will jeopordize your safety and health. Then they proceeded to finish my interview. No worries, recruiting is a great bunch of people and if you let them know they can place her in another role.

Sometimes you end up working indoors and outdoors. I had a roommate that worked in MK foods QSF stands east (for anyone who knows) and she ended up indoors at the indoor QSF locations (Auntie Gravities, Friar's Nook, Storybook Treats, etc.) and at some of the outdoor carts (churros etc.) so she flip flopped a lot.

THANKS for the reply. :)

they have a health form available for everyone who may be going down. regardless of what the health issue may be, someone can have their doctor fill it out and send it in.

60,000 people work at WDW. Lots of people with allergies and other medical restrictions in that 60,000. And with over 30 years of the CP, there is probably very little that they haven't had to handle.

make sure you daughter carefully reads everything that she is provided by the company so she can follow the proper procedure for this accommodation.

it could be something as simple as moving her out of foods. but there are other locations that may be exposed to nuts as well like merchandise. they need their form sent in so they can make the accommodation.

She called recruitment this afternoon and left a message. Hopefully she will hear back soon. :)
