I appreciate all the reviews, info, feedback etc on this board. It really helped a lot when booking our trip so I figure I will try to contribute as well. I am going to do another review with the other restaraunts we tried but had to post this as I could not find too much info on Fultons when I booked it.

If someone asked me, would I recommend Fultons...my answer would be "NO!"
I wanted to like it here, I reallllly did. But it was a complete disappointment. Maybe its because Im from New England and we have incredible seafood, but i was not impressed with Fultons. Not only was I not impressed... I just plain did not like it. It was waaaaaay overpriced, even by Disney standards. I honestly dont mind paying Disney prices if the food is decent or even good, but this was a huge waste of $200. We got the ultimate feast for 2... it was 2 lobsters on a plate on top of a pile of random crab parts. Oh and a side of mashed potatoes. Nothing was cleaned, shelled, nothing. I mean...usually up here- the tail will be removed from the shell and then placed on top of the shell for looks. This was just 2 lobsters staring at me. My poor husband spent more time trying to get our food out of the shells than he did actually getting to eat it. Just not what I was expecting for the money. I could see if I was at a local place, sitting dockside at a picnic bench. But not in a nice restaraunt at downtown disney.

I dont normally complain but I honestly would not ever go back here.

This makes me sad. I was looking forward to Fultons for our upcoming trip.

Yeah, if I pay that amount of money, which I don't mind, I expect it to be ready for me to eat not play with.

I refuse to go to WDW and eat a steak. I'm from Texas and have the best steak at home so, I'm not worried about trying it somewhere else. I'm sure you're a bit spoiled with your seafood.

What a bummer!

I was looking forward to it too! I mean literally drooling over the menu for days. lol. Normally we wouldnt even go out for seafood on vacation but my husband looooves crab so we thought it would be a great dinner for our last night. For the price, not worth it to me. Like you said...if Im paying that much - I dont want to have to wrestle with my food. lol

I have to agree...don't go. We are also from New England and really did not see anything that wowed us for the money. We had our boys with us, as the other couple that we were dining with, and it was really not a place to have the kids. It was really over priced.

As a seafood alternative for the same money, we just got back and ate at Todd English's Bluezoo at the Dolphin....great food, wonderful atmosphere, fantastic drinks....definitely not a kid place.

Is this what you got?

Louis Fulton's Ultimate Crab and Lobster Experience for Two - two steamed 1 1/4lb Maine lobster, snow crab, Dungeness crab, hashbrowns. Minimum of 2 ppl. Price is $41.95 Per Person.

Did the price go up?

Blah-what would you suggest as an alternative for a nice seafood meal our last night with our 3.5 yr old??? I'm confused now. : )

Yes, thats what we got. The total was I think $82 so works out to $41 per person. But there was just nothing to it. We got that meal for 2, shrimp cocktail app (also, nothing great...the shrimp was barely cleaned) and 2 kids chicken nuggets meals. Also, 3 glasses of wine. Total was $176 before tip.

Heres a pic, my daughter was like- ewwwww...they're staring at me!

We love it. And last time watched a waiter clean and shell legs for a child. Was an example of great service.

we went to futons our last trip. we loved it , thought the food was great but highly overpriced. i didn't mind opening the crab legs , i guess thats just a preference . it would feel kind of boring to me to be given them already opened, so this was not a problem for me.

anyway my problem was the pricing. i thought as did dh and kids thought it was overpriced however loved the food quality and atmosphere. we also had the feast for 2 and dh had the king crab claws.

We have been to Fulton's many times, and while it is pricey we always loved it. [But we are from Ohio].

You paid 200 dollars for that??? Disney clearly thinks their customers have more money than sense! what a rip off!

No he paid $82 for it. Definitely does not appear appetizing but I have to say $41 for a while lobster, crab legs and side dishes does not seem terribly overpriced.

I would not expect dungeness crab and snow crab to be pre-shelled at a place called a crab house. But i can understand the disappointment since OP was expected a fine dining lobster experience.

definitely something to keep in mind when ordering at Fultons.

our waiter did this for my daughter too and :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc honestly- I really appreciated him for that. my dh picked especially well the last time that we went to fultons and yes I wouldn't have picked these- but his food was amazing...

he chose the calamari appetizer and the fried seafood plate (we went for lunch). LET ME TELL YOU--- yes it was fried seafood- which i would have never chosen myself-- but YUMMMMMMMMM... some of the freshest and most delicious that we've had (although i am from PA- so what do I know?)

Sorry you did not enjoy your meal at Fulton's. We eat here every other year and will be back in September and cannot wait. We've never had a bad meal and have always had top-notch service.

Well, I said not a kid place because the menu is high end, very "Top Chef" type food. There were families there with kids, and the atmosphere is very nice and certainly would keep them looking around. I did not notice if they had a children's menu.

Our kids loved Cape May at the Beach Club....and they have a New England clam bake that is well worth the money if you love to eat seafood.

I am sorry you guys did not enjoy your dinner...My wife and I just got back from our latest Disney trip - on our first night we ate at Fultons and - as always - it was amazing. We always look forward to our meals there ever since I took her the first time in 04. The soup was excellent, the tuna app was awesome and the King Crab Claws were already cracked and ready to be eaten :cool1::thumbsup2 I always recomend this place to anyone who is going and has the extra coin to pay - it was the best meal we ate down there - this coming from picky eaters in a NY region. I guess it all depends on what you get - but I never had a bad meal there.

So now Im thinking it was just WHAT we ordered that may have been the biggest problem. The waitress even noticed that we looked unhappy and came over to ask if everything was ok. I let her know we had assumed the food would have been at least cracked etc to make it a little easier (my husband was dressed nice and was squirting lobster juice everywhere trying to crack the claws- lol). She just said no- thats how the meal comes. I dont know, for the money... I would not go there again. It wasnt bad, it wasnt good...it wasnt worth the $200 bill.

I ate here at dinner several weeks ago, really looking forward to the fish tacos. Because I can only eat very little at a time, I chose the Mahi-Mahi Tacos from the dinner appetizer menu, and nothing more.

Have to say I was very disappointed because the plate I was presented with had two big tortillas each of which had about 1/2 cup of the slaw and ONE SINGLE SMALL piece of grilled fish. I kid you not when I say the length of the piece of fish didn't even stretch from one edge of the tortilla to the center and didn't even make to being 3/4" wide in other directions. Really, don't insult me - if you want to skimp, at least cut the dish down to one taco per appetizer and put two pieces of fish on it so it isn't so glaringly noticible. I ended up doing just that - putting both pieces of fish on one tortilla and removing some of the slaw. The sauces they gave with the dish didn't turn me on, but I ended up mixing them for a combination that worked with the taco.

To be fair, when she did come back and I commented on the portion size of the fish, the waitress did ask me if I wanted another piece of fish (uh..no, I'll pass because I don't want to complain and then ask you to cook more food for me..just in case). I will also say the two measley pieces of fish I combined into the one taco were exceptionally grilled.
