Ohana's was okay, but isn't a keeper. It was our second time, and although we really enjoyed seeing Wishes during our meal, the food itself just isn't good enough to return for. The steak was good, though, and the waitress we had was terrific.

50's Prime Time was good, but again, not a keeper. It was our first time there and our waitress was outstanding. I think I laughed more than I ate that night. The theming was also wonderful, and I don't regret our time there, it's just the food wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I'm glad we did it once, though, and that the waitress was as good as she was.

Coral Reef was good, and is a keeper due to the chocolate wave... just can't help myself. The steak was great. The waitress was very rushed, and made sure we knew it. She wasn't outright rude, but wasn't friendly, either. We also experience the delay in being seated that others have mentioned. That chocolate wave is calling me back already for next year...

Rose & Crown was good, had a great waitress who was wonderful to us the whole evening - made sure we had good views for illuminations, had reset our table with fresh everything when we returned from viewing, was very personable and friendly. The food was okay for most of us. I think we were tired, though, so maybe it was better than I remember. The friendliness and care of the waitress, though, was great, and it's a keeper according to my dh.

Concourse was a blur, so I can't give it a fair evaluation. I had to rush through the meal (not Disney's fault), but my husband said his steak was delicious. I think he wants it to be a keeper.

Raglan Road was good for me, but not for the rest of my family, so it won't be a keeper. I loved the "It's not bleeding chowder." Service was fine, and the atmosphere is good.

San Angel Inn isn't a keeper. Only one of us enjoyed our meal, and the service was extremely slow. The restaurant is also too crowded. I had high hopes for this one because the atmosphere is so great, but it's definitely not a keeper.

Chef Mickey's for breakfast has become a "last meal before we leave for home" tradition for the past several years and it didn't disappoint us. I love the food, the energy of the characters, and the magic reflected in my young daughter's eyes every time she sees Minnie coming her way. Priceless.

That's it! Please let me know if you have any questions about the places we dined and I'll be happy to answer.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with everyone. I've been reading everyone's reviews especially the character breakfasts ones. I'm curious about Chef Mickey's character breakfast. We are going back in Feb 08 and I'd like to book a character breakfast. We have a DS9 so we won't be needing to see princesses. :) Does CM's serve pancakes? Our DS9 is a pancake lover not a waffles or french toast lover. What time was your CM reservation also? I'm leaning towards CM, Cape May or Donald's at AK. Any info would be helpful. I've got a reservation also for Coral Reef but I'm not sure whether to change it to Concourse Steakhouse. Do you have any opinions on that? Sorry for all the questions. :) :) Thanks.

Lynn

Hi Lynn,

CM does serve pancakes. Our reservation was right around 10:00 am. The characters include Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto, I think. I haven't been to Cape May's breakfast, or Donald's, either, so I can't help there. I like Coral Reef better than Concourse due to the Chocolate Wave for desert. They also do a good job on their steak, and the atmosphere is better (I think your son would enjoy the giant fish tanks).

I hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the reviews. Out of the restaurants we've tried, I would pretty much agree with your comments.

Excellent reviews, thanks for posting.

great reviews - never had the chocolate wave at coral reef, but my DH plans to get it next month when we go!
