Party size - 3 - me, hubby(about 12 visits) and hubby's cousin(first timer)
We are on dining plan(which seemed to tick off our waitress, but more on that later)
Our first night is at Le Cellier - we have been here many times and always liked it...until this trip - Cheddar cheese soup was delicious as usual. So was the bread basket. I ordered the "un"prime rib and so did cousin- hubby got the filet. This was the worst prime rib ever. It was about 1/4" thick and really fatty. If we weren't in a rush to see Illuminations we would have sent it back. Hubby's filet was very good. Dessert was the maple creme brulee which was just ok. A very disappointing dinner especially since we had built it up so much to our first time guest. Ok, now back to our waitress - she started off being not too friendly and just a bit sarcastic - Cousin has a great sense of humor and just "out" sarcasticed (is this a word?) her. Don't think we'll be back here anytime soon.

Day 2 - lunch at The Land - Sunshine Seasons - Very good meal here - I ordered the turkey and muenster sandwich and hubby got the vegetable cuban. Cousin got the pork sandwich - dessert was key lime pie (just ok) - glad to see this place still serves an above average meal.

Dinner at Kona - Great meals - Me and cuz got the shrimp and scallop combo with sticky rice. The shrimp were large and tasty - scallops also large and sweet. Hubby got the rib eye which was just wonderfully flavored and juicy. Desserts were kilauae tort, apple tart and banana creme brulee - let's just say our plates were clean.

Glad I read this. We were considering cancelling our ADR for Kona but will hold on to it as your shrimp and scallops sound DELISH!

The server issue probably wasn't because you had DDP. We use the Tables In Wonderland card, & had more bad service than good last month. We were really surprised by the repeatedly poor service, because we've usually had good service @ WDW. We've decided in the future to not tell them we have TIW ahead of time to see if that helps. I doubt that will make a difference though. A bad server will most likely be bad regardless of how you pay for your meal. WDW seems to be in a "bad server" cycle at the moment.

We had sort of bad service at Le Cellier as well last month. My prime rib wasn't the best either.
