Is there any type of reward for a DVC member that recommends someone to buy into DVC? I can remember a few years ago that if you recommended someone to buy into DVC and they did, you received like a 3-day stay at a resort. Is there anything like that still going on? Thanks

We recommended someone who purchased and we received $200.00 Disney Dollars. They have a few different things you can select from. Some states do not allow referral bonuses. Go to the "refer a freind" section of the members only web site to check out what you have to do.

Does anyone know what states allow referral bonuses and what the options are? We are in the middle of trying to get some family members to join DVC and are wondering if we receive any type of reward if they buy. Thanks

I actually don't think there are many states that allow it. I know Minnesota doesn't and we always get the "Thanks, but sorry..." letter from DVC!

I'm not sure whether your state has rewards or not. I just wanted to let you know that these referrals must use your name at the first contact with DVC. If they don't, then you are not entitled to any bonus. You can't talk someone into it after they've already requested and received information. I think DVC usually asks them at the initial contact, "Do you know anyone who belongs to DVC" as a prompt for them to give a name.

Simba, I am sad to say that Michigan is one of those States. We have referred a number of people and received nothing. We were referred by my SIL and they also live in Michigan and Received nothing. Sorry Simba. IF you here otherwise let me know.
