Hi All! I surf this board ALOT and I need some advice from the experts.

I've had bariatric surgery and cannot eat as much as my 5 year old. I have a card from the doctor that states that I should be allowed to order from the kids menu. Will that fly at DW? Can I get the kids price if I show them the card?

Thanks in advance!

Karen

Oooh, I'm sorry I can't answer your question. All I can offer is a bump! Good luck!

At counter service locations, there won't be any questions about you ordering a child's meal. So, I'm assuming that you are talking about the TS locations, and that you won't be on the dining plan. Sorry, I don't have any knowledge of this situation. I have read that in some circumstances when there's a medical exception, guests have gone to guest relations in the park, and presented a doctor's note. They were given some kind of a pass, I believe. This was more to do with entering rides, etc, and not with dining. But it's something you can try.

Also, have you taken a look at the children's menus? There isn't much variety to them. Maybe a better choice would be to order 1 adult's entree, and then you could share it with your 5 yr old. Just a suggestion. Good luck!

My mom has a similar problem and there was no problem at Sci-Fi for her to order off the kids menu. This was in Dec. '07. :)

I agree with this. I had some eating issues some years back and couldn't handle a full blown adult meal. I would order kids meals from the counter services but the table services were a challenge. I almost always would order just an appetizer for my dinner. Or a side like a baked potato and a salad. If it's on the menu anywhere, you can get it - you don't have to order the entire meal.
