We have ADR's for Chef Mickey's breakfast and are staying at All Star Movies - I just wanted to be sure...do I take the bus to MK then get on the monorail back to the Contemp?

thanks!

That would probably be what I would recommend since the monorail is kind of a fun thing in and of itself. A lot of times the alternative suggested for getting from resort to resort is to take one bus to DTD and transfer there to another.

A taxi is always an option too. I haven't done this, so I don't know what it would cost.

so if I do MK to monorail how much time do I have to give myself? And do the DTD buses start running that early? How often would there be a bus at DTD back to the Contemp.?

thanks!

The DTD busses won't be running until 9AM.

Be out at the bus stop 45 minutes before your ADR.

If the ADR is more than an hour before MK opens, tell the bus driver you need to get to CR. He MAY be able to drop you off right at the CR if he has time.

If he can't, or your ADR is close to MK opening time, you can either walk over to the monorail or just walk to the CR. The walk will be faster, but the monorail drops you off on the level CM is on.

The Contemporary is the first monorail stop after the MK, so that ride really only takes a couple of minutes and you are dropped off within sight of Chef Mickey's. It is the bus ride to the MK that is the part harder to plan. See if the front desk of your resort can give you an actual time when the bus will be there to make it a little easier to figure out, but in any case allot yourself a good amount of time (I'd say an hour at least before your ADR) for catching and riding the bus.

Have a great time at Chef Mickey's. We were there Monday morning and we loved it, it was just magical for my son!

Do yourself a favor and take a taxi.
It will be worth the ten bucks to leave Movies and go right to the CR
We eat at Chef Mickeys every trip, and always stay at Movies. We usually have a rental car, and though it is parked at Movies in the same spot for the whole time because we take the buses, we ALWAYS drive right to the CR because to get from Movies to CR by bus is such a pain! Early Morning ressie
at Mickeys is even worse, because buses may not be running yet.
So to recap....
If you have a car...drive it.
If not..take a cab
and have a good time, becuase the food is great at breakfast and the characters are awesome.
Say hi to Goofy for me :goofy: :goofy: :goofy: :goofy: :goofy:

There are special Breakfast buses that run an hour before park openings. MK has the Castle & Crystal Palace Breakfasts', so you will be able to catch an early bus to MK, then the monorail to CR to meet your ADR.

The Taxi will cost approx. $15.00

Depending on how your party feels about it, you may want to consider taking the bus to MK and walking to the Contemporary. Its not that far a walk. My wife and I stayed there in October and walked to MK and back every day.

Early MK bus from ASM to MK.

Take resort monorail.

Sit in front and get your monorail pilot's license.

Don't waste money on a taxi when you can be the first in line to ride the monorail and talk to the pilot and see the morning sun rise over the lagoon.

Say hi to Mickey for me.

Be careful! The monorail doesn't run early. We had ADRs at Chef Mickey's last month. It was an early time, and the monorail was sitting in the Contemporary for our whole meal and then some. I don't know what time it starts running.

The easiest thing is to take the bus to MK and the walk to the Contemporary. The distance from the MK Bus Station and the Contemporary is about the same as the distance fvrom the MKBS to the top of the monorail ramp.
