Quick question - AP rates

We will be taking a couple of trips to WDW in 05 and are considering AP's as opposed to a couple of 4 day PH's. My question is - if I buy an AP, will I start getting the discount codes for the resorts without activating the passes?

yes - you will be able to BOOK an AP rate with an AP voucher.

(i put that in quotes because not every CM asks to see it...some people have snuck by in the past...getting the rate w/o the ap.)

Yes, you can go ahead and make reservations without having an activated AP. Be sure and have them activated prior to check in. Some CMs will ask for your AP at check-in, others may not....

How can someone check the hotel rates with an AP before buying an AP? Do I have to fill out the form and wait for a quote back, or is there an interactive way online?

To get an AP rate quote, you have to call the reservations center and ask for the AP rate. You don't have to have the AP until you are checking in, then you need to have one that is activated. I'm not sure about checking rates online because I usually call.
