Quick Kazaa question (i know,I know, someone is always asking about it)

I have used Kazaa for a while now and have recently become more aware that using it could cause some major problems with the computer. Is it possible to uninstall Kazaa and then download Kazaa lite?? What is the difference between the two, besides the whole spyware thing? Thanks! I just want to be a little more careful.
