Quick itunes question

I'm trying to get DS8's Nano ready for Christmas morning. I have Itunes 7 already installed on my computer, but it's saying I need to have Itunes 9 for the Nano. I'm assuming after I install the newer itunes....all my songs I downloaded on itunes 7 will still be there??? I don't need to do anything special to keep them, do I???

Everything will still be there. I recently had to add the new iTunes for my new iPod and I didn't have any problems.
