We were at the world on the DDP from Oct 22-26th. I will only go over the table service restaurants but I want to give big thumbs up to WGP Express for lunch. We all enjoyed our meal there.

Quick recap of the cast: DW, DS-13, DS- 8, MIL & FIL (not so Disney) and myself.

This was our first trip to all the restaurants except Teppan Edo. We arrived at all our location 10-15 minutes prior to our ADR and were seated within 5 minutes of our ADR which I thought was great after reading some of the reviews.

LeCellier
-Oct 22nd- My boys loved the duck appetizer and the steaks for all were great. Everyone in the party rated this an A+ and the best meal of the trip.

LTT- Oct 23rd (MNSSHP) The character interaction was great. The server did a nice job as we went through the turkey and ham quickly and brought out seconds. The food was average but fun with all the characters. My MIL really enjoyed the food the rest of the party thought it was average. C. As far as food goes our least favorite but enjoyed the characters as I got my pic with Goofy.

Boma- Oct 24th – This was the most discussed meal. DS-8 and myself were not impressed with the food at all however the rest of the family seemed to enjoy the meal. I do have to say the Zebra Domes were wonderful. B-

50’s Prime Time – Oct 25th. Aunt Janice was lots of fun. The food was very good and we enjoyed the interaction with our “family”. Even if I had to help clean the table and stand against the wall with my nose holding a packet of sugar. Still not sure what I did to deserve this but my boys and FIL loved it. A-

Teppan Edo- Oct 26th – This was a very close 2nd to the best meal of the trip. I thought it was tied for first myself but out voted by the family. We actually had the same chef we had 3 years ago when were there last. Both my son (13) and I thought it was the same chef however we had to wait until we could verify via pics. The service was great and the meal was excellent. The only complaint I have is the couple we had sitting with us were not the most pleasant people but my In-Laws had to sit next to them so I didn’t have to listen to them. Like the new look also. A+ for me family A.

If you have any question on specific meals I would be happy to expand on what we ate if I can remember but we tried several different choices at most restaurants with 5 adults on the dinning plan lots of appetizers and deserts.

We loved the DDP however not sure about the new plan for 2008.

Thanks for taking the time to write reviews.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the new Teppan Edo :thumbsup2 .

Thanks for the great reviews. When I read the title, i was getting worried. I thought you meant Le Cellier was dirty!

Thanks forthe reviews - got to say I loved the duck appetiser at Le Cellier too :thumbsup2

Do you remember what the DDP appetizer choices were at Tepan Edo? And how were the desserts there?

Not 100% sure but I believe the items below were on the appetizer menu. The sushi items were not available on the DDP:

Assorted Tempura - Shrimp, chicken breast and seasonal vegetables with a Japanese dipping sauce. - $6.50
Shrimp Cocktail (Picture) - Served with wasabi cocktail sauce. - $6.50
Vegetable Croquette (Picture) - Potato and vegetable croquette with Tomkatsu sauce. - $4.50

Soups/Salads

Garden Salad - Mixed greens, tomato, asparagus, and seasonal vegetables. Choice of dressing: Ginger, Creamy Sesame, or Oriental. - $4.50
Japanese Clear Soup - Fish-based soup. - $3.00
Miso Soup - Soybean Soup - $3.00
Seaweed Salad - Mixed greens topped with two types of seaweed salad. Choice of dressing: Ginger, Creamy Sesame, or Oriental. - $5.50
Tofu Salad - Soft tofu with mixed greens. Choice of dressing: Ginger, Creamy Sesame, or Oriental. - $5.50

Thanks for the kind word about the review. If anyone has questions about any of the reviews please ask.

How many people sit at the table at Teppan Edo? WOuld it e OK with small children?

What was it about Boma that didn't appeal to you? Was it very spicy or oddly spiced. I have to be careful about too much spice, so I am a bit nervous about this. Is the atmoshpere worth taking a chance (we have never been to AKL) Thanks!

They sit 8 at a table. They warned my DS 8 to stay back as the cooking area is very hot. He would have had to clime on the table to get close enough to get burned.

I love spicy food so it wasn't that. I thought most dishes had an odd spice that did not appeal to me. However most of the family loved it.
