I'm planning our first trip and I'll bursting with questions. I didn't think we needed passports yet, do we? How long is the flight from Toronto to WDW. And is there a time difference?

I'm soooooo excited!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Hi, we are in the same time zone, so there is no time change. I think it takes about 4 hrs from Toronto to MCO, but I haven't flown from Toronto in a very long time. I know it's just over 2 hrs from Buffalo to MCO. As for passports you will need them I believe by January or December 2006. I can't remember. It's always just best to have one!

Have an awesome trip!

The flight is 2.5 hours to MCO, and I do believe you will need passports as your trip is in the new year. The best person to talk to would be someone at the government office. There is a time difference as well, when you get there it will be 2.5 hours later than when you left........... :rotfl2:

Sorry, I am in a giddy mood..........Rob (Snowwhite's DH)

thanks Rob,

that made me laugh out loud. Our time difference is two days, because we have to drive.

Medicmouse, get your passports NOW. You never know what might change between now and then and you wouldn't want anything to jeopardize your trip. It takes about 2 weeks from the time you drop them off until you get them.

Other questions??? ask away..that's what we're here for. :sunny:

About passports - When will they be officially be required to get INTO the US?
And they aren't required to travel from the US to Canada are they?
Thank you

Thanks for posting the web site. I just checked it out and it looks like we will be ok for this upcoming trip.

Yes thank you for posting the site. I just popped into our Government office and they are recommending that we get passports. I would just rather use the $ for disney stuff!!!! Sounds like I better do it though!

Another question I have is how do you bring spending $ to WDW. Travellers cheques? US cash? Visa? - what do you prefer?

We use cash or visa, depending on what we are buying.

we use cash and credit card. I use PC Mastercard so that at least when I come home I know that we're gonna have food to eat. :sunny:

Nope, I don't think you need passports! Call the airline! However, I live in Niagara and only ever fly out of Buffalo, it is much easier and CHEAPER!!! Try that... once you pass the border with your picture ID... you don't need to present anything other than that at the airport.

There is no time difference if you are from Toronto. And, usually it should take about 4 1/2 hours from Toronto. BUT, if you have stopovers, it could take a while longer. I like to think of stopovers as fun tho... :sunny:

Actually the direct flight time is around 2 hrs and 30-40 minutes.
