pirate: Now granted we have stayed at several WDW resorts over the years since 1996, but as I stated earlier we bought a pkg. with dining at the Wilderness Lodge for our stay Dec. 3-8. The total cost is $2366.66 not including the MVMCP tickets. Now here is my ??? For the same time frame I could get the Polynesian Garden view for roughly $300.00 more for the same pkg.. Also I could get the Boardwalk standard view or the Beach Club standard view for around $2582.00 which is around $222.00 than the Wilderness Lodge. Now here is what I'm asking. If it was you, what would you pick and why? 1 quick thing I also purchased 2 7 day hopper tickets with no expiration with the pkg.. Thanks as always gang. Chip.

I would stay at the Wilderness Lodge. It is the next hotel I want to try.

My dad and Stepmom took me to WDW in 1996, we stayed at Wilderness Lodge, it was just beautiful and service was fantastic. I would suggest anyone stay there if they get the chance!

I personally love the Poly, the convienant transportation (monorail at resort & easy walk to TTC) and beautiful atmosphere did me in. Other than transportation, I would think it would really depend on what kind of atmosphere you are looking for. I live in the "wilderness" as it is so I'd rather have a tropical feel when on vacation.

The Beach Club and Boardwalk are also very convienant (BCV only a few weeks away!). Would you be staying in a stuido/villa? If you would be in a DVC studio or villa you would also get a kitchen or kitchenette. Also you can walk, or take the boat, to Epcot and MGM from the Boardwalk/BCV area. Which parks do you plan to spend more time at?

I've never stayed in any of these, but we've visited them all at the holidays to enjoy the decor. The Wilderness Lodge is breathtaking! It would be great to come beack to the resort at the end of every day and enjoy the big tree. I'd probably have to sit by the fire and soak it all in for a while.

JMHO.

I agree! I live in New Hampshire, so when I go on vacation, I like the tropical feel! The WL feels too much like home!! Also, I love the Epcot resort area - you have the Boardwalk, Epcot and MGM all so close. I would say it depends on the atmosphere you are looking for. All are wonderful places to stay! My first choice would be Beach Club! :sunny:

Beach Club would be my first choice because of the convenience and walking access to EPCOT then Boardwalk for the same reason. Poly would be my third choice, just because it is on the monorail but I don't know if that would make it worth the extra. Wilderness Lodge would be at the end of my list because I just don't like the "darkness" of the resort. The rooms are just really dark and a little drab to me. The lobby is very pretty but you can visit that by eating a meal there.
