Questions on MVMCP & CandleLight Processional

I'll be at WDW from December 19th through the 22nd :bounce: :bounce: and I have a couple of questions:

We have tickets to the MVMCP on the 19th. I'm a little bit perplexed about the options for dinner on that night.

What I had originally planned was to eat lunch at Crystal Palace (for which I already have a PS) then dinner at Columbia Harbour House with 5 of our Connections Quick&Casual vouchers (already purchased). I called WDW Info today and they told me that we'll be roped off into Fantasy Land during the time between the MK close and the MVMCP start, so that kind of tosses the dinner idea up into the air. Since there is only one Counter Service restaurant in Fantasy Land (Pinnochio's) , I expect it to be mobbed and I'd rather not sup there. I'd also prefer to eat in the 5:30 - 6:30 range so we're all fed before the start of the MVMCP.

So, I need to change my plans.

I can use the Q&C vouchers for lunch, then have an early dinner @ Crystal Palace. I called the WDW Dining # tonight, and they said the latest PS was at 5:25 pm. If I called back tomorrow and did that time slot, would they allow us to take our time eating or would they be pushing us out the door by 6 pm when the MK closes? I want to make sure we can have a nice leisurely supper without considering the fact that the MK will be closing.

I hope I'm making sense...

Next question, we have ressies for the Candlelight Processional 6:45 pm show on the 22nd, then we're having dinner at Rose & Crown at 8:00.

I read somewhere that there is a special menu for the Candlelight Processional dinners, which sort of dismayed me, because I want to be sure that we have the same options/portions as any diner who is not purchasing the CP package.

Does anybody know whether the different menu is indeed the case?

TIA,

Karen

MVMCP - if you have a PS at a Restaurant you will be okay. However, from my understanding, the latest PS time is 6pm, which is park closing so you should be okay there. After you dinner, you may be directed to Fantasyland or where they are holding guests.

CP - you order off the normal menu, there is no special menu. You will get to choose an Appetizer (or soup or salad), main course, and dessert.

As far as I can tell, the special menu deal is only for the new Fantasmic dinner package they are testing in MGM. I have a feeling this is cutting down on the number of people sitting in the reserved seating!
