If you plan to buy APs is it necessary to buy the day ticket at the gate, or can you buy the this in advance?

They can be bought in advance :)

Excellent news, how does it work regarding getting a refund on the ticket though?

Presumably I can buy in advance and then simply got to the AP place and exchange the daily pass for an AP? I thought you had to tell them at the gate...

What if you buy one cheaper (they are £27.95 on 365tickets.com for example)? Do they know that you paid less? Or does it have to be bought from Disney directly in some way?

Nope we entered via the turnstyle and then when to the AP bureau before it shut.

One of our passes was from a friend which was unused so I don't know if where they were bought makes a difference.

I paid for my annual pass at the entrance gate, she gave me entrance tickets for the day and then I went to the annual pass office. I had to pay a little extra per person difference at the annual pass office, but I did not have to buy a day pass and then get it refunded off my annual pass price. I done this at the entrance gate and the annual passport office sorted the rest out for my sponsor.

And they deducted the cost of a day ticket from the AP fee without asking for any proof of purchase or anything?

I have one final question, I know I should ask this on the AP thread, but it's a silly question. Do we have to provide photos for the AP, or anything come to that? Proof of address for example?

I've put this into a new thread, so hopefully others will join in :)

No we did not provide proof of purchase.

They take your photograph at the AP bureau:thumbsup2
In our case they checked address and identity details through passports and drivers licence. We had the troops passports with us but I can't remember if we had to show them.

Thanks for starting a new thread, wondered where my messages had gone when I was directed to the old thread via an email notification :lmao:

I hadn't planned on taking my DL, as we're going by train, but it sounds like it would be a good idea to after all!

We did have to show passports when we bought them for the Grannie's in January.:goodvibes

I showed my drivers license which started the usual ooh's and ahh's (it's purple with holograms and fascninates Disney employees for some reason! :goodvibes )

On a somewhat related note - Annette, I think that you and I were emailing back and forth about black out date tickets. The question was whether one can buy them in advance or not.

This week I am in California and am going to DL on Saturday, an AP black out date. Here they said no, one cannot buy them in advance.

Does anyone know definitively if it is the same in Paris?

DH and I just showed our passports ~ they didn't want to see our DD's ones although I had them with us.

Nothing else apart form passports. I think you can buy AP's in advance but activate them on first visit. Not sure how to go about it though.

I plan to buy two day tickets at 365tickets.com for £27.95 each. I have just noticed that they are only for one park... Presumably this is not an issue though as all we need to be able to do is get into Disneyland Park in order to access the AP office?

Once we have our APs we'll be able to access both parks anyway, won't we?

We are now seriously considering Dream Passports - how much earlier do you get into Fantasyland?

Does anyone know the opening times of the AP office?

Bumping this as no replies to questions as yet.

Plus, adding another question, I notice that the AP prices are only until 30th March 2007 - does this mean they are likely to go up on 1st April???

Yes AP is for entry to both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios.

You get into the park 1 hour before normal park opening.

The Annual Passport Office is open 11am - 7pm weekdays and 10am - 8pm at weekends, obviously dependant on park opening times.

Thank you so much Reid, will get on and purchase those day passes now, before it's too late!

Do you think the AP prices are likely to go up on the 1st April?

I've not heard anything about change in price to AP's. Can anyone help?

The prices were changed slightly in November so I would hope not:scared1:

We have the Dream passes and they are great value. The extra hour is fantastic. We used to love being practically the only ones on Dumbo and Peter Pan. Not sure we will see than again the introduction of EMHs
