Hi,
We moved our vacation from October to May of 2021 for typical virus reasons. We rebooked the resort and made our park pass reservations for May no problem.

Originally we bought the Canadian tickets back in Jan or Feb when they were available and my understanding is when all this dies down we can call Disney and just have to pay the difference to change them to regular tickets for next year. I hope i'm not wrong about that.

My main quesiton is since we were planning on going this October we bought 2 kids tickets. but now going next May my oldest will be 10 and requires an adult ticket. I'm not bothering to call Disney and sit on hold for hours just to ask a question so i'm turning to you lovely folks. Will we be able to pay the different to upgrade the one child ticket to an adult ticket? or will we have to purchase a brand new pass? Any thoughts?

Thanks to you all!

I'm in the same situation, we were going to go in August, will likely reboot for next August, but my daughter will be 10 by then. Hopefully someone knows!

Non-virus related, but we sort of did this with the trip we cancelled for this Aug. My DD was to turn 10 during the trip, so when it was originally booked, she was booked at a kid's price, and with the free dining that we had, also at a kid's dining package. My DD and DS are slightly less than a year apart, so during the trip, they would have both been 10, but she would have had to eat from the kid's menu, when he would have had the adult's menu. Additionally, we were travelling with another family that had kids over 10, so she was the only 1 out of 4 kids who was relegated to the kid's menu. This didn't seem fair, so I called in to see if I could change her to an adult. No problem, they altered her in the system to an adult price, adult meal, and my overall package went up about $200 bucks for the difference in the ticket/dining plan upgrade.

Thanks Kaadk! that's was I was hoping/expecting. Great to hear someone else has gone through similar experience with no issue.
