My friend is going to Disney this summer and staying on site. Well, I have never stayed on site

How does she go about booking? Package deal directly thru Disney, thru a travel agency or buy separate (book hotel only and but tickets thru a broker)? She has AAA. Thanks!

There are several ways to book:

1) Book room-only through Disney and buy tickets separate, either from the Disney Store or a ticket broker.

2) Book a package through Disney.

3) Book Room-only through a travel agent (or AAA) and buy tickets separate.

4) Book a package through a travel agent (or AAA).

The best way to figure out the best way is to actually price out your options each way.

mrmagicmph is right, the teacher discounts at Swan and Dolphin are great (S&D are not owned by Disney, they are owned by Sheraton-Starwood, which is why they have different price and discounts than Disney-owned resorts).
