Hey everyone. I am going to DLP in May and will be also be going to London. I tried calling DVC today to try to book at DLP and the lady said that it wont let her go past April. So I am a bit frustrated. Does anyone know when it can be booked farther? She said it was odd since we are aloud to book 6 months in advance.

We will also be going to London but wanted to know if anyone has any suggestion for a hotel there. I don't want to stay in a hole in the wall. I want something decent size and priced. Anyone stay at any real nice, affordable hotels in London recently??

Thanks for the help in advance.

Many US visitors book via the DLP UK site or one of the other European sites without any problems. Everything is sent to you via Email, you just need to enter your US address leaving the country as UK when you book. Just go to the official DLP website and change the county to UK. At the moment the UK site is running a 2 day, 2 nights free offer which is very good value for money and are taking bookings up to March 2015.

You will save many $$$$ booking this way compared to booking on the official US site or via the DVC (unless you have spare points to burn of course). Booking via the US site or via DVC will make a trip extremely expensive.

As for London hotels, I can suggest the following:

St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel located at St Pancras International station, so very handy for catching the Eurostar to Paris or the direct Eurostar service to Disneyland Paris.

London Marriott Hotel County Hall, which has great views of Big Ben, the River Thames and the London Eye.

Holiday Inn London - Regent's Park, just 5 mins walk from Regent's Park and London Zoo and 10 mins from Oxford Street.

Premier Inn London King's Cross - Located near Kings Cross - St. Pancras train stations.

Make sure you check the prices of the packages (UK site) before you commit to using DVC points. When booking with DVC the point values are very high plus you have to pay the $95 transfer fee and you are required to buy "length of stay" passes for all of the days you're staying at DLP including check-in and check-out days. The packages are often almost the same price as you'll pay for the Fee + LOS passes and you can save the points. I looked into using DVC points but dropped the idea once I saw the prices of the packages. Whatever you do, don't book any packages on the US site. That is the biggest ripoff.

I've been to London 3 times and I've always stayed at the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum.

Thank you all for the advice. I will definitely check the UK version of the site. Thanks.
