I'm looking into getting the regular dining plan (1QS/1TS) for a trip next fall. I am having trouble finding all the info I need so I'm hoping someone can answer my questions/explain things, as it seems there have been BIG changes since we last used the plan!

If we stay at the Swan or Dolphin, are we eligible for the DDP?
Does everyone in the room have to be on the plan- or on the same plan?
Do we have to buy the plan for every day/night of our trip?
What is the limitation on snacks? (it used to be anything <$4)
If I get an alcoholic beverage and then want an iced tea, for which drink will I have to pay OOP?

Thanks for helping. SO much has changed!

Can answer a couple
The Swan and Dolphin are not eligable.
You buy it for every night on a reservation. If you do a split stay with 2 reservations then you could just do it for one reservation. But the credits don't start until the checkin day & expire at midnight on checkout day of that reservation

I'll continue...

Yes, everyone in the room needs to be on the same plan.
There is no price limitation for snacks, everything that has the purple logo designating it as a snack is eligible.
There is an alcoholic drink included with qs and ts. In the case described in your op you would pay for the least expensive one or if the iced tea is in a qs location you could use a snack credit.

Also new is that you can now share your dining credits to buy meals for people not on the plan. What we are planning to do is to only book for 3 people instead of 4 if we end up buying the dining plan. Then i will add the 4th person at check in and share our dining credits between the four of us as it is too much food. The only problem is that the 4th person will not be eligible for transport from/to the airport but we will be renting a car.
I will buy their tickets separately and link them to MDE

OP to get an idea about snacks checkout the menus at www.allears.net list Snack credit items for QS and cart locations that have them. May not be 100% accurate or upto date but it gives you an idea

Another disadvantage of this plan is that the 4th person won’t be able to reserve their FP+ at 60 days like the rest of your party.
