Questions...Cruise newbie with 4 kids

We have been to Disney World 3 times with our kids and we are ready to try a cruise. I am so confused on how all of this works. I know it would be best to book when the cruise first comes out. I am trying to decide when we want to go and how much I will need to save up in the next year or so. Do we book 2 rooms? Our kids right now are ages 8, 6, 2 and 3 months. We probably would want to cruise sometime in the next 2 years and would want at least an ocean view room. I am thinking a 5 night cruise to start off. Thanks so much for any input.

Unless you want a suite on one of the classic ships, you'll need to book 2 rooms. One adult in each room, and split the kids between the rooms. One note on that - the second person in each room pays full fare, regardless of age. So you'll be paying for 4 adults with two rooms and the 3rd & 4th guests (the kids) will less cost.

5 nights would be a good starter cruise. We prefer nothing less than 7 nights.

Not sure about the other ships, but we were told the Fantasy doesn't have any rooms for more than 5 people. We are a family of 6 so we had to book 2 rooms.
