Hi, I just recently joined the boards and have been lurking around for awhile. Right now I'm planning a Christmas trip to DL this year. This is the first time I'm doing this, but it's really fun so far.

I have a question about WOC dining though. I was considering setting up dinner reservations for my parents at Wine Country Trattoria. Has anyone ever dined there? Was the food good/worth it? How does it work with viewing the show?

Sorry if these are a lot of questions. I'm just really excited about everything. :rotfl:

I personally have not ate at WCT. I have seen mixed reviews on it. I suggest reviewing the WOC Superthread. There is a lot of information in here, but it is really helpful. Essentially, when you make WOC dining reservation, you go to the meal and afterwards, they will hand you a FP for the Preferred Viewing Section. You will want to line up about 45 minutes before the show starts to get a good spot. The Superthread details good spots to go for with maps...very helpful.

We've done the World of Color package with dinner at Wine Country Trattoria the last 2 years. I really enjoy the food there. It is one of my favorite park meals. I actually prefer the food there to Blue Bayou or Ariel's Grotto. The package does save you from having to line up hours in advance. We did it last week and got there exactly 45 minutes before the show started. There were no front row spots left in the dining pass area except for in the "wet zone" so we did that. If you don't want to do that, you might want to get there an hour ahead of time. The front row of the wet zone was an absolutely great view. If you don't mind getting a little wet, I would absolutely recommend it. I was wearing a jacket with a hood, so I pulled the hood over my head and after the show, I took off the jacket and was completely dry. DD and DH weren't wearing jackets so they were pretty damp as the wind was blowing the water our way, but they dried really quickly. A CM that came by to chat as we were waiting for the show had warned us that with the way the wind was blowing it was going to be a "wet night". He said some nights the area stays completely dry, so you just never know.
