I had a few questions as did others about the Print being mailed out. But it seems the questions keep getting ignored on the other thread about receiving one.

So would someone that has received one, be kind enough to answer a few questions about it. :thumbsup2

Was it too large to fit in your mailbox, if so what did they do with it?

Does it come US postal mail, or UPS, FedEx, ??

Just trying to plan ahead, as I have a disfunctional mailman and if it comes postal mail I will need to watch for it, or mine will end up in a mess.

Thanks for anyone that answers. :goodvibes

Ours came last week by Priority Mail. The box is slightly larger than the giclee, which is 11 x 14.

Also, it is not what I would call a "print" - that makes me think of something printed on paper or photo stock. This giclee seems to be printed on a vinyl canvas (?) and is stretched and stapled over a wood frame.

Hope that helps -

Debbie

Thanks Debbie, that helps a lot, if it comes priority mail, we have a different person to deliver that and they will place it at our back door, like UPS does.

I appreciate your answer. :thumbsup2

Does every member get one? We bought from The Timeshare store, will we get one? What is it? :confused3

Ours came today. Too big for a standard mailbox. 17 x 13 x 2. Ours came snail mail (USPS), not priority mail. Box was scrunched a bit in the corner.

Great fun to open up!

I am not sure who all with get them, DVC seems to be very random about mailings sometimes, as some never got the pins they sent out.

Look on this forum for the thread about the Giclee Print and you will see a posted photo and more info.

It is for the DVC Anniversary.

Denise,

Are you sure it was snail mail? Our box didn't have any indication that it was priority mail - just a plain brown box - no priority labels or anything. But... on the mailing label, in a little box where a stamp would go, it said Priority Mail.

Ours doesn't say Priority Mail on it...just BOUND PRINTED MATTER & a permit number, which means it was sent using the less expensive rate.

In any case, we have it, and the kids think the box the giclee comes in is really cool!

Sammie, We just received ours today in the same large brown mailing box the other posters mentioned. Since my husband and son got home before me, it was on the table when I got home with the rest of the mail, which I assume means it came with the regular mail.

As far as all members receiving the giclee print, I read the "Certificate of Authenticity" on the back and it says "Commissioned by Disney Vacation Development, Inc. in Celebration, Florida, this giclee print was created exclusively for Disney Vacation Club Members in 2006 to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of Disney Vacation Club."

I hope this encourages everyone that it looks like all DVC members will receive one!! :yay:

BTW, someone already has theirs up on eBay:

Can you imagine someone winning the DVC membership in the contest and putting it right on Ebay? If I saw that, I would think that maybe someone else should have won it that would have appreciated it.

We also bought through The Timeshare Store, has anyone who purchased through a third party recieved one yet?

:wave2:

None of our contracts were purchased through Disney and we received our package yesterday...doorbell rang and the mailman handed it to us. What a nice surprise. In addition to the gliclee, it also contained the new member handbook, which is pretty great too!

Just received mine about 5 minutes ago! I got excited when I saw the postman driving up to the house instead of just putting the mail in the mailbox at the end of the driveway. I hope everyone else gets theirs very soon!
