Greetings! I have a few questions. We are kind of new to the cruising thing. Due to time issues with my husband's job, we are doing a day before our Fantasy cruise (Epcot) and one after the cruise (MK). We will have our vehicle with us (driving from TN). We are staying at the Coronado Springs before the cruise and the Contemporary for a day after the cruise. We chose to stay at the Contemporary since we will be disembarking the boat that morning and looking for convenience.
I was looking at the Magic Your Way tickets and noticed that they don't expire until 14 days after first use. If I was to buy a 2 day park ticket with our first hotel stay (Coronado) then it would be a total of $50 cheaper then doing two separate ticket packages (and just book a room only at the Contemporary). Besides the money, I am looking more for convenience. We will be arriving at the Contemporary as soon as we can get off the ship and get off there (express disembarking and driving our own van). If we do this, it will put us at the resort way before the room would be ready (check in is at 3?). Would our tickets still be active on the Magic Bands (to go straight into the MK)? I am assuming that since we have a hotel reservation with a check-in on that day that the hotel would allow us to park there? Or do we have to formally go in and check-in and then drop that pass off in the van window before going to the park?
I guess my question is... what is the easiest way to get to the MK as quickly as possible? It's a Saturday and I want to maximize our time as much as possible in the morning/early afternoon. With a pool break in the afternoon and going back later in the evening for fireworks and etc.
