Just booked Poly for March 2013. I remember hearing about 6-9 months ago that Disney would be refurbishing Poly soon. Since I have not been on the boards lately, I haven't heard any recent news. Is anything scheduled for the Poly in the next year?

It appears that they will start room refreshes in January starting with Hawaii Building. This will be curtains, furnishings, carpets, wall paper etc. They'll do that building by building and that won't impact you at all.

There is talk of work on the GHC and building a DVC but these seem to be much further out and nothing announced at this point, just a lot of talk.

I booked the Poly for August 2013. I also read about the refurb & debated on not staying there but...

We stayed at the Poly in 2005 when they were doing refurbs/updates. It wasn't bad. OK it was for one night since we were in the building that they were hammering on (dumb move for them to have guests in a room/longhouse that they were hammering on). Anyways, we were able to get our room moved to a new location & other then seeing some workers here & there we were not bothered by the noise or what not.

So because of that I decided to not book the BC for part of my stay & just stay at where I love it the best knowing that they won't be working on every longhouse at the same time.

I was wondering about the refurb as well as I had heard something was going to be starting next year but wasn't sure what was going to take place. We've stayed at the Poly before, but will be staying CL for the first time in July 2013, so it's great that they will be starting with the Hawaii building ;).
