Questions about park opening, and TT Madness

I've got a question about how park opening works when we go to Toontown Madness:

1) If we have tickets to Toontown madness do they let us in the park a bit earlier so we're already AT Toontown at park opening? Or will we have to fight the crowds to make it there by the start of the ceremony? Is there a separate line outside the park we'll have to use to get into the park on our Toontown Madness day (like they have the separate line for MM mornings)?

Also, a question about park opening in general:

2) Do they have any sort of opening ceremony for either Disneyland or DCA? Do they let you in early to stand around on Main Street, or do you wait outside the park until it opens? Do they start taking tickets before park opening?

We did TTMM last week. We didn't get in early. We got to the park at about 7:30 for an 8:00 opening. I had Dh take the kids to TT and I went and grabbed SM FP's and met them there. The ceremony is at 8:20 but we missed most of it. We were in Minnie's house and then they wanted to keep riding the coaster. We saw the end of the ceremony. At about 8:50, I ran over to grab Splash FP's and DH let them finish up in TT.

I assume this is for your September trip mentioned in your sig.

1) Nope they won't let you in early, but there aren't that many "crowds" to fight through. Obviously they won't start MTTMM right at opening if nobody is there. They will wait for you.

2) No opening ceremony for either park, not like WDW. Whether or not they let you in Main Street early depends on the crowd levels and park hours. Since you'll be going in September and the parks usually open at 10, then they will probably allow you into the park around 9:30 and only Main Street will be open. Then they will do a rope drop at the different lands at 10. At DCA they will open the gates around 9:30 and only Soarin will be open. and the same thing will happen at 10.

Phew! I'm not very good at the 100 metre dash! It's good to know that although MTTMM is advertised to start at park opening, that they give guests a little while to actually get over there.
