Questions about Milesource and supercertificates

I just earned my first Milesource reward--the $25 supercertificate. I have submitted my redemption to Milesource and received an email from them that my redemption has been processed. How long will it take for me to receive an email from Supercertificates? When I receive the email, will I get an online supercertificate or a paper one in the mail? I saw on Supercertificates' site that you can get American Express gift cheques from them. Can you use your supercertificate to get the gift cheques, or must I choose an actual "gift certificate" for a certain store? Thanks for the help!
