So, is a family 5K really a family 5K? The information page says all ages are welcome, but it also says you have to maintain a 16 minute mile pace. My daughter will be 4 1/2 at that time, and I'm pretty confident she'd be fine accompanying me, but I don't know that she could do it quite that fast! I get that they don't want you to take all day, and DH is happy to stay with her if she's not old enough to participate.
To that end, is there usually an area for spectators at this type of race? I can't find any information on it, but it would be nice if they could watch. Again, I understand if they can't. It's not one of the huge races. Frankly though, I'm working really hard to get in shape for it, and they're being very patient. It would be nice if they could see mommy run by!
