Questions about Magic Kingdom strollers

Hi! Dh and I are planning on taking our 3 kids to WDW for the first time this September. When we go, our twin girls will have just turned 4, and our little boy will be almost 3. This trip will be a short one (only 3 full days--we're planning a longer one in 2009), so we will be spending all of our time in the Magic Kingdom. I'm planning on doing one section of the Kingdom in the morning, heading back to the hotel (Wilderness Lodge) for a rest, and then doing another section of the park in the late afternoon/evening. We're not bringing our own stroller; so I've thought about renting a double one from the park. My twins usually always walk now when we go places, but my son is still in the stroller a lot. I figure with the double, my son can ride in it most of the time, and the twins can take turns if/when they get tired. Anyway, my questions are this: Would it be possible to fit THREE children in the double stroller? All 3 kids are "average" sized for their ages. Also, is it unrealistic for me to expect that my twins at 4 will be able to walk for much of the time? Or should we go ahead and rent a double and a single? Thanks!

We went last year, the month after our little one turned 4 and were determined to not rent a stroller. Well we ended up renting a stroller for her all day everyday and she was still exhausted by the end of the week. I dont know about fitting all three in a double, we were considering putting the 4 year old and 8 3/4 year old in a double if that helps. I can tell you that the single was big enough to fit our very tall 4 year old and a very overstuffed backpack. I would definitely give the 4 year olds the option of a place to sit. You could always wait until you get to the stroller place and ask them to let you try out a double just to see if they all fit.

I would probably rent just one double on the first morning and see how it works out for you. But when you are planning your budget, plan enough money for the extra single if needed.

Or, bring a small umbrella one from home, and leave it in the room, unless you determine that you need it after that first morning.

I have seen some REALLY big school age children riding in the stroller with smaller siblings, so you may be able to make it work, but I cant imagine it would be extremely comfortable to have them all three in it all day long.

HTH! Have a great trip!
